Andrew “Korea” Russell – Guitar, Alto Sax, Vocals The Dead Pirates Society, originally called The Right Unanswered Questions, was formed in 2006. After changing from one bad name to another, they began to build a small fan base in their town of Jefferson City, Missouri. Then, in the fashion of most bands, they were sucked into a tsunami of hardcore drugs, booze, and very low self-esteem. Having lost every last fan, they did some soul seeking. Miraculously, in seven three-hour band introspective therapy sessions, they began to realize that, despite what others think, they should keep doing what they love most. (After leaving their local rehabilitation center) The Dead Pirates Society started playing music for the love of playing music and because of it, are genuinely happy people.
